BEFORE
Q: Before committing to permanent brows, what do YOU recommend I should research or consider before booking an appointment?
A: Doing your own research is so important and I cannot stress this enough! This is a big commitment, so make sure you are informed and have questions ready before your appointment or consultation. You should also heavily research your brow artist to make sure they are certified and have quality before and afters. Don’t say yes to the first brow artist you Google, and definitely don’t say yes to “a bargain” because the quality of your artist will determine your final results. I am expertly trained in brow design and permanent brow techniques, and I am excited to transform your brows!

Q: How should I prepare for my procedure?

Get inspiration photos together to show your brow artist what your dream brows.
Don’t wear any makeup on the day of your appointment.
Don’t take blood thinners or Aspirin the day of your appointment.
Q: Can I get brow tattooing done while pregnant?
A: No, you cannot get these treatments done while pregnant.
DURING
Q: What should I expect during my appointment?
A: First, we will sit down and discuss any questions or concerns you have, and review your inspiration photos. Next, I will begin mapping your brows to ensure they are proportionate and level to your facial symmetry. Then I will apply the numbing cream to make the experience more enjoyable. Now, I will begin transforming your brows by inserting pigments into your skin using the method we decided on (microblading, combo brows, ombré brows, etc.). Once your brows are sculpted and shaped, we’ll go over your aftercare and when to book your touch-up. Get ready to admire your new brows!
Q: I’m nervous about the pain, how bad will it hurt?
A: We take every precaution necessary to ensure the micro-pigmentation application is as pain free as possible. A wide range of medical grade anesthetics are used for your comfort. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable, whereas other clients report no discomfort at all. A combination of 2 anesthetics are used, first a topical numbing cream and then a local anesthetic is introduced once the procedure has started. This is topped up regularly during the treatment to keep you comfortable.
AFTER
Q: What should I expect directly in the first 48 hours following the procedure?
A: As with any minimally-invasive procedure, expect some redness, tenderness and swelling throughout the first couple of days. After the first week, your skin should be back to normal.
Q: Ahh it’s the second day and my brows are so dark...when can I expect my final results?
A: Don’t worry, this is completely normal and expected!! Your brows will be a few shades darker for the first 6-10 days, but then will fade into the perfect shade. Also be aware that your brows will start to scab up, but do NOT scratch or pick at it as this can delay the healing process. The wait is so worth it!
